Banknote base paper

The Diósgyőr Papermill has produced base paperfor bank notes since 1920's. By the early 90's, the sudden development of technology has made it necessary to increase the protection of banknote papers against falsification. Now the protection system of the new banknote series complies with the European standards. The watermark on the bank note is positioned, multitone and formatted. Security thread, security fibres, holographic foil can be found in the base paper. Due to its great solidity and as a result of the surface treatment its lifetime is a lot  longer than that of the previous banknote generation.

Base paper for documents

Identity cards, passports, births as well as school certificates and other identity cards require that a few security elements be incorporated in them. This must be done already at the production of the paper because they are increasingly falsified.
Different protection methods are applied with various documents and have to meet more and more requirements. One of them could be the identification that can be put practice by incorporating a magnetic stripe.

Base paper for tickets

Today, certain public transport companies and cultural as well as sports organisations print their tickets, especially ones of longterm validity, on security paper. Watermarked printing paper and cardboard

Cardboards

The Diósgyőr Papermill Cort. has effectuated serious improvement on not only paper but also on cardboard of higher grammage. Therefore the idea of DIPA security cardboard has become real.

Any protective element (planchettes, holographs, security fibres or magnetic stripes) or their combination can be incorporated into the cardboard, so it can be easily used on a lot of areas.
Cardboard  is an excellent material to make cards from. Once providing with a magnetic stripe or a chip, it is suitable for personalization . Therefore it is applicable for:

-entrance systems
-goods protection
-traffic watching, etc.

The durability of cardboard can be extended manifold by lamination so its life is comparable to that of plastic cards.
